Episode 44 Show Notes:

The Holiday Season is upon us and for bar takers, this can be an extremely difficult time to balance all of the commitments that we face. Some bar takers obsess about study and ignore the season and its joys. Others are so captured by the escapism of the holiday time that they procrastinate from their studies. Both approaches can be disastrous to a successful exam outcome.

This Episode looks at this challenge and suggests a middle ground that you can use to navigate the Holiday Season and study for the bar exam.

Episode 40 Show Notes:

Does the Bar Exam frighten you? If so, today's episode will be critical to your success. In this episode, Jackson continues his series on "Shifts" in the Bar Exam and looks at the results of fear when studying and taking the exam.

Particularly for those who are retaking the exam, fear can be overwhelming and debilitating, but using the analogy of a child who fearlessly tries to 'pet the tiger' at the zoo, it's possible to overcome your fear and move towards your goals.

You'll learn why fear can stop you and what you need to shift in your thinking to move forward.

You'll find out whether it's better to study in a quiet or a noisy place, to study in the same location or vary your environment, whether to cram or learn over a longer period of time.

You may be surprised at what the experts in educational research are discovering about what works and does not work when it comes to high stakes test preparation. Today's episode is one you won't want to miss.

Episode 34: Show Notes

There's an ironic truth that those who fail their bar exams are often the same individuals who insist that they know the proper way to study and prepare. Common sense suggests that an unsuccessful test result would lead to an open mind and a willingness to be taught better ways to prepare and study.

Still, for many bar takers, failure becomes a kind of 'cement' that locks them into patterns of failure and despair. In this episode, we'll look at the importance of being teachable as a vital component of achieving bar exam peace and success on the exam!

One other note about this episode: At the time of the original recording we offered a free 30-day trial that you'll hear mentioned. That offer is no longer available, however. we do provide a Satisfaction Guarantee and Pass Guarantee for all our courses as well as a $97/month for 12 month offer that we invite you to check out on our website.
