What's the value of meditation and awareness for a bar exam taker?

That's one of the questions Jackson asked his guest in this special podcast episode. Bill Harris, the founder of Centerpointe Research Institute and creator of the Holosync Audio Meditation system spent an hour answering questions about the role of meditation and its benefits for people dealing with important life events. In this wide ranging interview conducted in 2016, Bill shared his insights for our audience and it was one of our most downloaded episodes ever.

In May 2018, Bill Harris died of cancer. His death leaves a huge void in the personal development field that he led and among family and friends. This is one of his final interviews and we decided to republish our conversation as a final tribute and memorial to this friend of Celebration Bar Review and to so many thousands of Holosync users.

Episode 84 Show Notes:

In this Episode, Jackson interviews Bill Harris, the President of Centerpointe Research Institute and creator of the Holosync audio meditation technology. Bill has been involved in personal development for nearly 40 years as a seeker, teacher, public speaker, author, musician, composer, therapist, workshop leader, and business owner. He has studied and practiced a wide range of traditional and modern transformational and therapeutic practices with a variety of teachers.

The idea of using precise sounds to alter a listener’s state of mind led Bill and his partner to create a powerful audio technology called Holosync, which they place inaudibly beneath peaceful music and environmental sounds. Celebration Bar Review incorporates the Holosync program as part of our special STAR package of services

You can also order Holosync as an addition to any of our bar review courses using this link: http://www.celebrationbarreview.com/course/holosync-audio-meditation/

In this interview, Bill discusses awareness and meditation as tools to improve performance in all aspects of life and for high stress events like studying for the bar exam.

Episode 04: Show Notes

If you're a bar exam retaker, you need to "reset" your thought process and study. In other words, you need a bar exam "Intervention." In today's podcast, I'll show you how to do an Intervention by yourself that will bring you real results.

This method was developed by Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford. A link to her book, "Mindset" is at the bottom of the show notes.

Give the method described in this podcast a try. I'm confident that with just 30 minutes a day for the next few days, you'll see a change in attitude and greater ability to focus and study.

Show Notes for Episode 000:

I don't know about you, but sometimes it's tough for me to go the "extra mile." Then I saw this great quote from Roger Staubach: "There are no traffic jams along the extra mile." Ouch. That really hit home (and from a Dallas Cowboy, no less!).

Bar exam students usually feel pretty overwhelmed and stressed out. That's normal. But I wanted to find a way to help those students unwind just a bit, not feel so alone or disconnected. That's why I started this Podcast along with a private Facebook group: "The Extra Mile."

In these Podcast episodes, I'll be sharing tips, techniques and thoughts about how to succeed on the bar exam, plus interviewing successful bar takers to get their insights, suggestions and stories of inspiration to help you. If you'd like more of this kind of community, I invite you to Subscribe to this Podcast and join our Facebook Group.
It's a place where current bar takers, former bar takers and future bar takers can gather for information, discussion and support. Plus, I've got some special goodies to add for Podcast Subscribers and Facebook Group Members that I know will make studying easier and more productive for you.

The Extra Mile Facebook community is a "private" group. That means you need to be approved to join. No big deal. Just click here and I'll add you to the group. Once you're a member feel free to chat with others, ask for advice and offer suggestions.

And, as we explore the Extra Mile on these Podcasts, I'd love to hear from you with your questions, concerns and suggestions. You can email me at jackson@celebrationbarreview.com.

Thanks for listening to Episode 00 and I look forward to joining you on The Extra Mile!
