Episode 75 Show Notes:

The relationship between law schools and bar prep has always been muddy at best. In today's Episode, Jackson looks at how law schools are managing their bar prep courses - often to the detriment of their students.

In this Episode, we examine 4 current trends:

  • Increasing pressure from the ABA for Law School Transparency in reporting bar pass rate statistics
  • Current financial difficulties in the law school sector
  • The emergence of law school bar prep classes as part of the required curriculum
  • The links between employment statistics and commercial bar prep company relationships to law schools

The net result, Jackson concludes, is a system unfairly weighted against the law student and requiring an effective double payment for an inferior level of bar preparation.
