Rachel, a successful foreign attorney who passed the California Bar on her first try while studying in New Zealand,
Wayne, a London-trained law student who passed the NY Bar on his third try, and
Bob, a licensed attorney who passed the Florida Bar on his first attempt after a 30 year practice in NY.

All 3 students have great insights and tips for current bar takers plus the wisdom of their experiences and they share them freely. Sit in on our conversation between these 3 very different personalities and you'll be impressed with what they have to say!

Episode 04: Show Notes

If you're a bar exam retaker, you need to "reset" your thought process and study. In other words, you need a bar exam "Intervention." In today's podcast, I'll show you how to do an Intervention by yourself that will bring you real results.

This method was developed by Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford. A link to her book, "Mindset" is at the bottom of the show notes.

Give the method described in this podcast a try. I'm confident that with just 30 minutes a day for the next few days, you'll see a change in attitude and greater ability to focus and study.

Show Notes for Episode 000:

I don't know about you, but sometimes it's tough for me to go the "extra mile." Then I saw this great quote from Roger Staubach: "There are no traffic jams along the extra mile." Ouch. That really hit home (and from a Dallas Cowboy, no less!).

Bar exam students usually feel pretty overwhelmed and stressed out. That's normal. But I wanted to find a way to help those students unwind just a bit, not feel so alone or disconnected. That's why I started this Podcast along with a private Facebook group: "The Extra Mile."

In these Podcast episodes, I'll be sharing tips, techniques and thoughts about how to succeed on the bar exam, plus interviewing successful bar takers to get their insights, suggestions and stories of inspiration to help you. If you'd like more of this kind of community, I invite you to Subscribe to this Podcast and join our Facebook Group.
It's a place where current bar takers, former bar takers and future bar takers can gather for information, discussion and support. Plus, I've got some special goodies to add for Podcast Subscribers and Facebook Group Members that I know will make studying easier and more productive for you.

The Extra Mile Facebook community is a "private" group. That means you need to be approved to join. No big deal. Just click here and I'll add you to the group. Once you're a member feel free to chat with others, ask for advice and offer suggestions.

And, as we explore the Extra Mile on these Podcasts, I'd love to hear from you with your questions, concerns and suggestions. You can email me at jackson@celebrationbarreview.com.

Thanks for listening to Episode 00 and I look forward to joining you on The Extra Mile!
